Ignition Casino review

Our Complete Review of Ignition Casino

Ignition Casino opened in 2016 as a rebrand of the Bovada poker site. Sources say the people behind Ignition Casino bought Bovada's online poker business for somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 million USD. Bovada kept offering sports betting and casino games while all poker action moved to Ignition Casino. Ignition bought not only Bovada's player base but also all of the technology that runs the poker sites, and it has since made improvements to the software that make it an amazing site to play on.

Ignition Poker runs on the Pai Wang Luo network and has some of the best traffic for online poker players in the United States. All games are anonymous, meaning each player has a player number instead of a screen name. That number changes every time the player sits down to play, which makes the games anonymous and makes it impossible to track players for more than one session.

Software

If you haven't played poker on Ignition Casino recently, you're missing out. When it comes to poker sites that serve US players, Ignition hands down has the best software on the market. It's well designed with a clean layout, all your favorite games are easy to find, and, most importantly, the software works flawlessly.

The lobby is one of the nicest in the industry: simple, clean, and with everything you need. All your player information is displayed on the left side, navigation between game types is easy, and the filters let you set your favorite game types.

The software also boasts some other great features, such as:

• Anonymous Tables
• Automatic Cash Game Seating
• Zone / Fast Fold Poker
• Rabbit Cam
• Preferred Seating
• Synchronized Tournament Breaks
• Fantastic Mobile Software
• Jackpot Sit & Go's
• 6 Max / Full Ring / HU

One of the nicest things about playing poker on Ignition Casino is the mobile web app, which lets you play poker anywhere you go as long as you have an internet connection and a web browser. Players on tablets can play all of the games Ignition offers, including multi-table tournaments. I can't say enough good things about the mobile web app. You can tell a lot of time and money went into its development, which to me says they care about the players and the player experience.

Player Traffic

As part of the Pai Wang Luo poker network, Ignition Casino is the largest US poker site by traffic. Even though Ignition only started offering online poker in 2016, it quickly emerged as a favorite site for American poker players. At peak times you can expect more than 2,000 players online, with cash games constantly running as well as multi-table and single-table tournaments.

Even though it only spreads cash games up to $10/$20, Ignition is one of the better sites for players looking to play mid-stakes and above, with games running on a fairly consistent basis. Whatever kind of poker game you are looking for, there is a good chance Ignition will have one running.

Games Spread

Poker players on Ignition Casino will find cash games, multi-table tournaments, sit & go tournaments, and Jackpot Poker sit & go's running around the clock at most stakes.

Great Tournament Schedule with Large Guarantees

If you prefer to play tournaments, Ignition Casino is a great option for you. It has a good amount of player traffic for a US site, which allows it to offer a great tournament schedule with large prize pools. With more than $1.5 million in guarantees every week, players have a chance at hitting it big.

Ignition Casino's tournament highlights include:

• More than $1.5 million in weekly guarantees
• Freezeouts and re-entries
• Weekly $150K GTD Sunday Special
• Weekly $100K GTD High Roller
• Mad Mondays with $300K in guarantees
• Wild Wednesdays with $300K in guarantees

Real Money Banking Options

Ignition Casino has several different methods for US poker players to move money on and off the site. Below you will find the methods available to most players.

Ignition Casino Deposit Options for US Players

• Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency: All players have the option to make a real money deposit with a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. There is a $10 minimum and a $5,000 maximum deposit limit. This is the method we recommend for most players, as it's fast, free, safe, and secure.
• Credit/Debit Cards: If you don't want to use cryptocurrency, you may be able to deposit using your credit or debit card. Ignition has a $20 minimum and a $1,500 maximum deposit limit on card transactions. We don't recommend this method because there is a 5.9% fee and the transaction may be blocked by your bank or card issuer.
• Player to Player Transfer: Ignition also now has player-to-player transfers, which it calls "vouchers." Another player gives you a code to enter on the deposit page in your account, and your account is credited with those funds. You may have a friend you can trade with, or you can find someone looking to sell on an online marketplace like the one on 2+2 or the Ignition Forum.

Ignition Casino Withdrawal Options for US Players

• Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency: For players looking to cash out winnings quickly, cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is the method we recommend most. It's free, quick, safe, and secure. There is a $10 minimum and no maximum withdrawal limit (withdrawals above $9,500 may be issued in $9,500 increments). You may request one payout every 3 days, and most are completed within 24 hours, often the same day.
• Wire Transfer: Not available on most online poker rooms, Ignition offers wire transfers for cashing out. There is a $1,500 minimum with no maximum withdrawal amount, and any amount over $9,500 may be sent in multiple increments under $9,500. There is a $100 fee per withdrawal, an ETA of 15 business days, and players may receive only one per month. This option isn't terrible for players withdrawing a larger amount, but we still recommend cryptocurrency first because there are no fees and the turnaround is quick.
• Check in the Mail: If you still haven't found a withdrawal method that works for you, a check in the mail might. There is a $100 minimum and a $3,000 maximum per check, plus a $100 fee per check. Players may request one check per 7-day period, and checks may take up to 15 business days to arrive. Because of the hefty fee, the processing time, and the issues you may run into when cashing or depositing the check, we strongly recommend against this method unless you have no other choice.
• Player to Player Transfer: The last way to cash out is a player-to-player transfer. You find another player who would like to buy some of your funds. They give you cash or send you money via a service like Zelle, then you withdraw using a voucher and send them the voucher number, which they use to claim the funds. Only do this with people you know or who have a solid online reputation as someone who can be trusted.

Sign-Up Bonus

New poker players on Ignition Poker can claim a generous welcome bonus: a 100% match up to $1,000 on your first deposit. If you deposit using cryptocurrency, you receive a 125% match up to $1,250 on your initial deposit instead. The bonus is released in $5 increments for every 150 Ignition Miles you earn playing your favorite poker games, and it must be claimed within 30 days of your initial deposit.

Claiming your bonus is easy. Just click here (opens in a new tab) to download the software, then create an account, make your deposit, and start playing.

Rewards & Promotions

While Ignition does have a loyalty rewards program, it's one of the worst in the industry. The program is called Ignition Rewards, and players earn Ignition Miles by playing poker and other casino games. Those miles can be traded in for cash prizes and tournament tickets. There are 8 reward levels to climb by accumulating more points, and the higher you go, the better the rewards. The basic Steel level has a cashback rate of 6% and lets you redeem 2,500 miles for $1. The top level, Diamond, gives you a 15% cashback bonus and lets you redeem 1,000 miles for $1. Players at the Chrome level and above are eligible for the weekly $2,500 freeroll tournament.

For cash games and tournaments, players earn 15 miles for every $1 of rake or tournament fees they pay. Jackpot Sit & Go players receive 1.5 miles per $1 of buy-in.

Bad Beat Bonus

One cool promotion on Ignition is the bad beat bonus. If your aces full of kings is beaten by four of a kind or better, you qualify and receive 100x the big blind, up to $1,000. So if you are playing $1/$2 and take the bad beat, you would win $200. There must be a minimum of 3 players dealt into the hand, and both the winning and losing hands must use both hole cards. The bonus is only eligible in Texas Hold'em cash games. You must manually submit the hand and table number by email to poker@ignitioncasino.eu within 48 hours of playing the hand.

Royal Flush Bonus

Another great bonus offered by Ignition is the Royal Flush Bonus. Play Texas Hold'em cash games on Ignition, and if you hit a royal flush using both hole cards, you win 50x the big blind, up to $200. You must submit the hand yourself within 48 hours to poker@ignitioncasino.eu.

Mobile

Ignition Casino offers mobile play through a web app that you access in your mobile browser. There is no download required, and you can play anywhere as long as you have an internet connection and a mobile device with a web browser. Game play on phones and tablets differs, so here is a brief overview of each.

Phone Play

You can play most varieties of poker on your phone, but you are limited to one table at a time and to certain game types. You can play all cash games, including Zone, and Jackpot Sit & Go's, but other tournaments are limited. A section called Featured Sit & Go's lets you select from a few different games that seem to vary. Overall, the game play and user experience on the phone are very good and among the best in the industry, which makes it a good way to get a quick game in on the go.

Tablet Play

Tablet play on the web app is where the Ignition mobile experience really shines. Unlike most other sites, on a tablet you can play any game Ignition offers, including single-table and multi-table tournaments. Another great feature is that you can play up to 4 tables at once on your tablet. That is unheard of on most sites that offer mobile play, where you are usually stuck single-tabling. The tablet lobby is easy to navigate, and a bar at the top shows your hand on each table and lets you switch quickly between tables. A lot of time and money went into making the tablet experience this good, and it shows that they care about giving their players the best experience possible.

How to Play

Playing on Ignition from your mobile device is easy. Visit the Ignition Casino site, log in at the top of the page with your account details, then tap the "poker" button at the top of the page to reach the poker lobby. If you don't have an account yet, don't worry: setting one up is easy and you can be playing in no time. Just click here (opens in a new tab) and follow the instructions to create your account. And yes, you still get the 100% match bonus on your initial deposit, up to $1,000.

Customer Support

Ignition offers customer support 24/7, but only by email. There is no live chat or phone number, and while replies are usually quick, that can be a problem if you need to reach them urgently. That said, I have never had an important issue take longer than 24 hours to resolve. You can email them directly at poker@ignitioncasino.eu or use the contact form on their website.

Conclusion

Overall, Ignition Casino is a great choice for US poker players, especially those who like to play on anonymous tables. It has the highest US traffic, a wide range of cash games up to $10/$20, a full tournament schedule with nice guarantees, and great software. It also has a great welcome bonus of a 100% match up to $1,000, which you can claim by clicking here (opens in a new tab).

If you don't like anonymous tables, or you like to play more tables than Ignition allows, be sure to check out one of the other great rooms available to US poker players. You can find our reviews of those rooms here.

How is Ignition Casino legal?

Ignition Poker remains legal because there is no federal law that prohibits someone from playing online poker in the United States. The state of Washington has a law that prohibits online gambling, but to date there has never been a reported case of someone being prosecuted for playing online poker. The grey area stems from the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), which makes it a crime for banks to knowingly process transactions that stem from online gambling.

Can I use a HUD on Ignition Casino?

You may use a HUD on Ignition Poker, but it's limited because of the anonymous tables. All players are assigned a random number at the start of each tournament or when they sit down at a cash game, so there is no way to track players across multiple games or tournaments. In practice, you can only keep a limited database on a player for the current session, and it's hard to get more than a hundred or so hands on anyone.

Currently, Drive HUD and Poker Tracker work with Ignition.

What games are offered on Ignition Casino?

As the online poker site with the most US player traffic, Ignition offers a good variety of games across the limits. For tournament action, you will find NLH and PLO/PLO8 multi-table tournaments with buy-ins from $1.10 to $500. Sit & Go players will find single-table and multi-table sit & go's with buy-ins from $1.05 to $214. Cash game players have many options.

No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha games are spread at the following blinds:

• 0.02/0.05
• 0.05/0.10
• 0.10/0.25
• 0.25/0.50
• 0.50/1
• 1/2
• 2.5/5
• 5/10
• 10/20

Limit Texas Hold'em games are spread at the following blinds:

• 0.05/0.10
• 0.25/0.50
• 1/2
• 3/6
• 10/20
• 30/60

You will also find a fast-fold format on Ignition Poker, which it calls Zone Poker. It's spread as No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha, and Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo at the following blinds:

• 0.02/0.05
• 0.05/0.10
• 0.10/0.25
• 0.25/0.50
• 0.75/1.50
• 2.50/5.00

The No Limit Hold'em Zone games run frequently, but the Omaha games can be hit or miss.

Finally, there are Jackpot Sit & Go's. These are 3-handed, hyper-turbo, winner-take-all sit & go's. The name comes from the way prizes are distributed: at the start of each tournament, a random prize between 2x and 1,200x the buy-in is determined, and players play for that prize. Most prizes are between 2x and 4x the buy-in, with the larger multipliers happening less frequently. You can think of them as scratch-off poker games.

• $2: max prize of $2,400
• $7: max prize of $8,400
• $20: max prize of $24,000
• $60: max prize of $72,000
